My law firm’s MS150 team, the “Ambulance Racers,” starts formal training this weekend. Around this time in southeast Texas motorists will begin to see more and more cyclists training for the upcoming MS150 ride from Houston to Austin to fight multiple sclerosis. I’ve participated in the MS150 the past two years, but this year I’m going a step further and my law firm is sponsoring our own riding team.
In this country, a cyclist is injured in a bicycle accident every six hours. Over one million children will suffer an injury this year in a bicycle accident. In fact, half of all bicycle accidents will involve riders under the age of 16. Unfortunately, the number of bicycle accidents continues to rise.
