BAM!!! It comes out of nowhere, and rocks your world (in a BAD way!) There are few things that will turn your life upside down as quickly and thoroughly as a car wreck. It is a complete invasion of your time and your life, and it happens in a second, without any warning. To make things worse, you may have suffered serious injuries and may be sitting at home in pain, or worse, in a hospital. You are hurt, you are confused, you are without a freakin’ vehicle, and you don’t know where to turn. So who do you call? Okay – option one: You call the insurance adjuster. Why not? They are there to help, right? Maybe you’ll get to talk to that pretty “Flo” lady, or maybe that handsome man who makes you feel SO protected when you see him in those commercials, right? Huh. WRONG. You’re going to talk to someone who will, from the MOMENT you start talking, NOT be looking for ways to help pay your claim, but looking for ways to DENY it! Remember how insurance works – insurance companies collect premiums from all their customers, and then they pay out some of that money in claims. The difference between the amount they take in in premiums and the amount they pay out in claims is their profit. So what is the easiest and most logical way to increase profit? Yep, you got it, to deny as many claims as possible! So, I’m sorry to tell you this, but that person you’re talking to when you call the insurance company may not be that cool little lizard with the English accent, but more like a hungry crocodile ready to swallow you whole!
